What's for Dinner Tonight?

It can be a challenge to make healthy meals in a hurry without Lean Cuisine's frozen entrees.  Now I do not intend to give the wrong impression--I keep them in my freezer too!  However, all you need is a steamer.  We have now arrived at the purpose for my blogging this evening.  If you are not familiar with an electrical steamer then you have been missing out.  One of the advantages with an electrical steamer is it is a lot like a crock pot.  It requires a lot less monitoring and than a traditional stove top steamer.  Every steamer comes with a cookbook that gives liquid measurements and cooking times.  This cookbook is your "mentor" until you become more familiar with the steamer and it's operating habits. I like to use a condensed soup base mixed with water, garlic, and salt instead of plain water. I think this gives steamed vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms, cauliflower, squash, etc...  The condensed broth base is called 'Better Than Broth' and I buy it at Kroger. I recommend this to be used in any and everything that calls for water and can be flavored with chicken broth but that is another blog.
Here is a picture of the model/brand steamer I use. :)
